Time to Color

What happens if you fall in love with the perfect element for the perfect page and it doesn't match out in the paper scrapping world?  You either paint it (which only works on a few types of objects) or you try something else.  Not in digital scrapping, however.  You can easily change the color of your scrapping elements in just a few easy steps.

Grouping

If you have a "flat" element, the fastest way to recolor is to use grouping.  Open the element.

Then open a new layer on top of it and pour the color you want onto that new layer filling it entirely.

With that layer active, hit control + G.  The layers will group together and you will see your item recolored.  Merge together and copy it onto your scrap page in progress.

What about when your element has a bit more texture or shape to it?  Read on!
