Michelle McClung

With two little boys and Disneyland being only an hour away, my family and I spend a lot of time, there as you can imagine.  Each time we go, my kids discover new adventures, new favorites, and new courage as the rides get bigger and faster.  Ok, I’m admitting that the grownups have just as much fun too!

On my last trip, I’ve realized that Disneyland is a wealth of scrapbooking inspiration as well.  Not only from the bright colors, incredible ornamentation, and endless photo opportunities, but one thing that may have the biggest influence on my scrapbooking is Disney’s impeccable attention to detail.   Looking around, I started realizing that it was the smallest details that that really brought things together.  Details that may not seem significant by themselves, but all together they show incredible care and pride in the work.  I caught little details everywhere - even in the bathrooms!

In scrapbooking, I believe that it’s the little details that can make a good page great.  If you put the time and effort into your projects with craft knife cutting,  handmade embellishments,  doodles or any other tid-bit that adds interest and shows that you are proud of your work, other people will feel the same!

Catch the details in the following projects and check back next month for the winner and some of the entries from the sketch contest.

Design note:

This sketch was from our Beijing Olympic Crop.  I adore circles on a page and this reminded me of the Olympic Rings.

Design note:

I could think of a million different ways to use this sketch! I originally chose these photos so that I could use some water drops, but the pearls ended up in my hands instead. The flowers were fun to mix and match, as was the circular title. The possibilities are endless with this sketch!
