Are you looking for …

(_) a place to publish your work?

(_) fun contests?

(_) challenges?

Well if you checked one or more of the boxes above, then I have got the place for you!!!

Before I found this site, I always had a hard time finding out about the current contest and magazine calls in the scrapbook world. But those days are over. Let me introduce you to Pub Calls! On this site you can find information about so many paper, hybrid, digital and card making calls that from now on the only problem left is to find time to scrap! So let’s not waste any more time and find out a little more about this great blog.

1) When and where did the idea for Pub Calls come from?

Pub Calls was started on Jan 23, 2006 by a wonderful woman who would like to keep herself secret (you know the one with the bag on the head). She loves the mystery of it; maybe someday she will reveal herself, but for now she is the silent partner of the blog. In March 2006, she put out a call for some people to help her and five ladies were selected. I was excited that I was one of them. In time people came and left but I stayed. I believe in this blog and the help that it is giving to the scrapbook industry in all levels. In 2007, another person that was at Pub Calls and I became the coordinators of the blog and ran it while our silent partner took a break. In mid year, I was in charge of the whole thing and brought in new help to the blog. My right hand persons are Anam Stubbington and Rachel Cooley. Without these ladies this blog would have ceased to exist and I want to thank them for that. We brought new help this year and it’s been great and we are stronger then ever and the crew just rocks. I am so happy about this blog and being part of the scrapbooking community.

Our Crew Members:

  • Lucy Chesna Pub Calls Coordinator

  • Anam Stubbington

  • Rachel Cooley

  • Cheryl Nyboer

  • Candy Rosenberg

  • Origin Call Martha Avans

2) How and where do you find the calls for your Blog?

The calls are mailed to us from the manufacturers and online scrapbooking communities.

3) What kind of calls can we find on your site?

You can find contests, challenges, blog challenges, DT calls, Manufacturer Calls/ Contests, Ezines calls and crops.

4) Could you tell us about one of the calls so far that has been extra special, for example because it was incredibly funny or very different?

They are so many that meant a lot to us but I believe the one that really meant a lot to me was all the different online communities that came together for Scrap Pink last year in September.

5) What extra services does Pub Calls provide?

We post calls with a calendar link so everyone can see in detail of each call. We also have a newsletter that you can subscribe by emailing us your email address so we can add you to the list. The newsletter is send out every Saturday with calls. So if you are looking for calls or challenges, don’t wait any longer and go strait to www.pubcalls.blogspot.com and have some fun!
