Blog Feature
It never ceases to amaze me how many different
blogs exist in the scrapbooking world. After
frequently surfing the net on a pursuit of all
things scrappy, I have realized that you really
can learn anything, view a wide range of styles,
and find inspiration in a multitude of places.
Of course, some blogs stand out from the rest
and one such site is a challenge blog called I
Inspire Me. The concept is relatively simple,
and yet, altogether mind-blowing. Participants are encouraged to recognize their
individual personal style by looking around at
their surroundings. What type of clothes do you
gravitate to, how do you decorate, which
greeting cards are you drawn too? The message
is to find which of those elements you can bring
to your scrapbooking projects. In essence, you
are charged to be your own inspiration.
The current challenge: find inspiration
from something made of wire and/or metal. The
blog's design team tackled this challenge and
created the beautiful work presented in this
article. As you can see from the design
team’s artwork, the finished products are just
beautiful and truly unique.

Being part of the I Inspire Me team:
When Lana shared with me her plans to start
the I Inspire Me blog and asked me to be a
part of the creative team, I was beyond
thrilled. I love the idea of using the
items that already surround me as a jumping
off point for my crafty endeavors. I find
myself looking at my home in more detail,
noticing the shapes, colors, and patterns
that might otherwise go unnoticed. I also
find myself looking forward to the bi-weekly
posts on the blog to see all of the
wonderful creations the other members of the
team came up with for the theme. Most of
all, it has been really fun, so a special
thank you goes to Lana.
