Have you gone
green? Are you finding increasing ways to
reuse and recycle? Lately, I have been
researching solar panels as I would love to take
that next step in my home. So far, my town is
not quite ready for residents to begin selling
energy back to the power company, but the town
council is already heavy in discussion for the
change in the near future. Much of the
construction in the area is including new green
features and I love learning about the
modifications.
In the
meantime, I am doing my bit at home. And I
am loving all of the wonderful ideas I see
online, especially in home decor and
scrapbooking. I have always recycled and
repurposed furniture from thrift stores and yard
sales and enjoy the creativity in making things
new and personal. So many talented artists
and scrappers are using supplies in such fun and
unique ways. This month,
Chic Street
features layouts reusing bubble wrap. I
couldn't wait to try fun technique!
Want to know what
else I am recycling? My time! My baby is
in afternoon Kindergarten now, freeing up 3 hours, 3
days a week in my schedule. Time that used to
belong to others is mine again and I am loving
repurposing. Who knew that 9 hours of alone
time could be so important to my sanity? I
have time to scrap again!
Have a wonderful
month!
