Scrap-a-ganza, Part 4

Meeting Teresa Collins

After chatting to Layle for a “long time” I missed my break and had to run to Teresa’s class. Too bad I didn’t think before there would be MORE people totally anxious to meet Teresa. Teresa’s class was huge. I think about 60 people and of course the best seats were taken. Darn! Blaming it on getting up early and the lack of coffee maybe after all.

I took place somewhere in the back and got my class kit. The class had already started and I was behind. Difficult for me to try and fit in trying to catch up. I decided to just listen to Teresa’s stories. She had so many stories to tell while everybody was working on their project. Warm stories. Stories that made me tear up when she was talking about the importance of journaling. Funny stories. Interesting stories.

The class itself was lovely. I checked what the other women where doing. We made a mini album with a wood cover. I DID paint my covers!! Was so happy with the shape of the front. It looked exactly like a D, which is the first letter of my last name. So wanted to make a little book for Noah.

I played with Teresa papers and with her stamps (I made sure to use the stamps on my project before going home). There was a real sweet gentleman in the back who was punching holes in everybody's projects so we could use the BIND-IT-ALL to close i The poor guy (who I am almost certain was “Mr. Teresa” ) had sore hands from punching 60 pair of wood plates for covers, not even counting the individual sheets.

The description of the class was very detailed and just perfect so I figured I would finish the rest at home. I went in front of the class to chat to Teresa for a while but the class was still in progress and she had to help others. Was actually totally happy that she spend a lot of time to help others instead of yapping with me in this case. That’s what makes a good teacher right? She did take the time to have her picture taken. I was totally happy when I met her again later that day at the make and take corner, where “Mr. Teresa” made a few more mini albums for all the lucky “make and takers” . She did take time to chat a little longer and, what was even better, she signed my Cropper Hopper for me. That made me TOTALLY happy!!

I so enjoyed this Teresa class. She is such a sweet, patient, and funny teacher. Her designs are awesome. In addition to a scrapbook designer she is also a product designer. If you want to know more about her products please check her website:  here.

Now, flip to the next page and you can see some of her fabulous products made in my own album.
