This month our designer’s got into the Christmas spirit a bit early as we were honored to create with Sweetwater’s beautiful Christmas line.
Sweetwater is a company that is from my “neck of the woods” so it’s a company that I have had my eye on for some time. The country feel of their papers and embellishments, mixed with the rich look of fabric could be linked to how the company took off.

Design note:
I was totally inspired by the triangular Christmas tree design on one of the sheets of paper. It lead me to create my own triangular trees. I decorated these with bling and top them off with either a sticker or rub-on. I love the quality of the chipboard and incorporated several pieces onto my layout! The alphabet letters also caught my attention because of the cool font and the smaller
size!

She Did What? by Stacey Michaud. Supplies: Paper, Chipboard, Alphabet, Stickers, Rub-ons: Sweetwater, Bling: Kaiser, Joann's, Ribbon: Making Memories, Other: Paper Clip.
Journaling: These were my exact words when I saw the brand name on the box. Auntie Sara bought you Uggs & you weren't even 2 yet. I never would have done it, but admit they were so cute. Uggs, for a 1 year old. That silly Auntie.

Design note:
Inspiration came as I looked through a quilting magazine, and saw a background made of fabric rectangles sewn like bricks. I cut my Sweetwater paper scraps and some coordinating cardstock ½ by 2 inches, put lots of repositionable adhesive on the background paper, and began layering the “bricks”. Then I sewed over the bricks in a grid pattern to make sure they were securely attached to the background. The low contrast between the patterned papers and cardstock makes the background “read” as a single pattern.
