Transparencies

Transparencies, while not new to the crafting market, have
never (in my opinion) been as hot as they are right now. I think the trend of transparencies really took off with the craze of Hambly screen prints/transparencies.
Hambly has the niche in the market for screen printing transparencies. Their combined patterns and textures really make their product stand out. Their color choices are fresh and add energy to your project, which also makes them a lot of fun.
While Hambly definitely has a stronghold on the market with their screen printed transparencies, many other crafters are finding other manufacturers' transparencies just as enjoyable to add to their projects.

Design note:
Pages come together in minutes with a transparency.

We Have Good Chemistry by Nicole Martel. Supplies:
Paper: American Crafts, Hambly, Stickers: American Crafts, Transparency: Hambly, Pen: American Crafts, Chipboard: Riff Raff.
Journaling:
When we're together, we have great chemistry. We feed off of each other's mood. Our personality’s together rock. Your smile is infectious; your actions are wild and crazy. You bring out the worst in me, I mean best of me. Hehe. Love ya girl!

Design note:
I wanted to showcase the photo, so I created a base for the photo with the wedding white satin
Bazzill and added the transparency to the strip with some black brads. To finish framing the photo, I ran coordinating strips of cardstock vertically up the page and used an identical black brad to secure the pieces to the pattern paper. I finished the page with this wonderful custom cut flourish by Dixie Pieces. All elements used on this layout were from the Dixie Pieces July Good and Plenty scrapbook kit.

Beauty by Lynda Lindley. Supplies:
Paper: Paper Element, Bazzill Basics Paper, Transparency: Fancy Pants, Die Cut Flourishes: Dixie Pieces, Brads: Making Memories.
Journaling:
April 2008.

Design note:
I just love to use the Hambly overlays to make cards and they are so easy to work with. I hand-cut the pattern from the paper, inked it to make it look a bit softer, and then added the ribbon to hold the card together.
