All About 3

 Christa Parker

One of the best things about scrapbooking is that there are no rules. Ok well, no rules on what kind of paper to use or how to set up your layout. But if you feel you must use rules, use the rule that will help your focus flow over your layout: the rule of threes. Threes can mean a lot of things, three colors, three embellishments, three pictures, etc. Make the focus of these threes in a triangle across your paper to help get your story across. Even if you use one photo... you still will want to use the rule of threes to bring focus to that photo. So next time you sit down to scrap a page, ask yourself some questions: Where do you want eyes to focus first? Do you want the WOW first or last? Look at these three layouts to give you some ideas.

Design note: Based on a sketch by Valerie Salmon. Circle frame cut out using a Coluzzle template, stamped with watermark ink, and heat embossed.

Journaling: Ack! How did this happen? For some reason, I am another year older. It's not that I don't feel blessed, it's just that inside, I still feel like I'm 20, LOL! Observations 17.2.07 Birthday girl

Journaling: Each day you move further away and I miss my baby boy.
