Spring Has Sprung

 Jennifer Wuthrich

Colorado has pretty harsh winters filled with cold weather and lots of snow, so by the time that March comes around I am really ready for spring and the changes that it brings! Spring is a time of growth and change; it is evident everywhere from new life to fresh new vegetation. It’s amazing to me how much things change during the winter but with people staying inside these changes seem to go unnoticed until the spring. For me personally, I recall last spring when my baby just barely learned to walk during the winter. On the first warm spring day I took him outside to play and the neighbors were just in awe that he was walking. I have to admit that it was a proud “Momma moment” as he walked around still in that unbalanced walking stage that we all just adore.

Design note: I freehanded the scallops on the striped patterned paper, then used a hole punch to make a hole inside each scallop.

My Wish for you by Reneé Morris-Dezember. Supplies: Paper: Chatterbox, Cardstock: Bazzill, Letter Stickers: Chatterbox, Flowers: Prima, Floss, Tag, Eyelets: Making Memories, Pen: Uni-Ball Signo, Sharpie, Font: Susie’s Hand, Other: Ribbon.

Journaling: I hope the days come easy and the moments pass slow and each road leads you where you want to go and if your faced with the choice and you have to chose I hope you chose the one that means the most to you and if one door opens to another door closed I hope you keep on walking till you find the window. If it is cold outside, show the world the warmth of your smile, but more than anything, my wish for you is that this life becomes all that you want it to, your dreams stay big, your worries stay small, you never need to carry more than you can hold and while your getting where your getting to...I hope you know somebody loves you and wants the same things to..this is my wish! I hope you never look back but you never forget all the ones who love you in the place you left, I hope you always forget and you never regret and you help somebody every chance you get...you find gods grace in every mistake and always give more than you take, but more than anything, my wish for you is that your life becomes all that you want it too! This is my wish for you.

Design note: By adding the photo strip and the thick pattern paper border along the bottom parallel to one another, it lead the eye directly to the title and journaling. The journaling for my layout are the lyrics to the song MY WISH by Rascal Flatts...which tell the message to my children.
