The Love of
Music

The world is surrounded by music. If you stop and listen you'll hear it all around; in the car, in elevators, in stores and my personal favorite - when you are put on hold. Music can mean so many different things to people. Some find work in their music while others find nothing more than pure enjoyment. Some write while others sing.
Personally, I can't carry a tune in a bucket, but that does not stop me from singing my favorite songs with enthusiasm! Let's just say I would turn up on the American Idol reject reel. I am ok with that though, because music makes me happy.

Design
note: This
layout revolved around practicing a "grunge technique" I learned from Linda Sattgast at
Scrapper's Guide. I copied my photo, desaturated the top photo, quick masked it, and erased the Kindermusik balls so the color would show through. I used the same technique
on the edges of the photos and music paper.
This was just a "practice" page,
but I really liked the results. Play around and
experiment with everything in whatever program you use. You really can't make a mistake, and
you never know what you'll come up with.

Journaling:
This is a photo of my darling granddaughter at her "Kindermusik" class. I've
always taught my children to appreciate the Arts, and they're handing down
that joy to their children. Journaling reads: "You shared the fun of song, dance,
and playing instruments with mommy each week when you went to Kindermusik Class.
What a fun way to experience the joy of music...November 2006"

Journaling: Mike learned to play the piano at a young age. By the time he
was in his teens, he often was accompanist in school and local concerts.
