Are you ready to
March on?
I certainly am!
After a winter filled with such lovely descriptive
phrases as "most snowfall" and "coldest
temperatures" and "writer's strike," I am more than
ready for some good weather and good television.
Yes, you read correctly. I am a TV scrapper.
A huge fan of the Best Storage System, I sketch and
gather everything I think I might need for layouts
as I move about my day and pop them into individual
trays. Change a load of laundry; pick out some
embellishments. Toss in a meatloaf; spell out
a title in chipboard letters. By the time the
kids are tucked in and the little Tivo guy dances on
my screen, I have several layouts ready to work on.
I love learning
about all of the different routines and preferences
scrappers have. Are you a stand up or a sit
down? Do you scrap better at a crop or all
alone? Do you sketch first or just go with the
flow? Start with pictures or start with
products? There are as many ways to scrap as
there are fabulous moments needing scrapping.
Perhaps this is why this craft never feels stale or
redundant.
Our annual
scrapbooking contest opens today! I am looking
forward to seeing so many amazing creations made by
talented designers each with their own routine and
scrappy style. Come on in and check it
out--the prizes are rolling in from our generous
sponsors and are quite yummy!
May you see spring
and scrap it beautifully,
