Unique
Boutique Lazy River
Terry McAuliffe
|
 |
What could be more relaxing or refreshing in the scorching, summer month of August than a nice, lazy river? This month’s inspiration is just that: something to sooth the soul, relax and mind and body, and inspire the creativity in everyone. As we float along the river this month, we can see the inspiration brought on by the lush greens and browns of nature, the flow of the water, and the wide open spaces of the sky as they are depicted in the inspiration piece.

Design
note:
I
drew my inspiration from the shape of they
bottom picture. The river running
through the middle of the land drew my eye
and I started with that as my basic sketch.
From there, I layered items like the rocks
in the water, making sure to keep some white
space for my "river banks".
What a fun
inspiration piece! |

I was inspired by the ragged river edge so I tore my paper and let it flow across the page. I also left plenty of wide open space.
