Going Places

 Dora Phillips

Each month, ScrapStreet travels to a new street, taking inspiration from that particular location.  We learn a bit about our stop and try to infuse that knowledge and attitude in our creations.  The monthly challenges encourage us to shake up our scrapping, trying new techniques, themes, and altered items as well as cards and color combinations.  Travel along with us as we spend August enjoying:

2008 Summer Olympic Games

Beijing, China and the World

Join us at the Olympics and be inspired by the stories behind every athlete.  After all, at the root of every scrap page is the story, right?  Join us as we sit captivated by the moments that will become a part of history.

Color

In honor of the Olympic Rings, grab those true basic Crayola colors of red, green, blue, yellow, and black and see what they can do for you!

Theme

Get Sporty! Have some fun on the couch rooting on our athletes and then head outside to play some of your own games. Maybe even host a mini Olympics for the kids. Can you say photo op?

Card

Congratulate and celebrate! There are always amazing occurrences in our lives and those of our loved ones. Make up a batch of cards so you are ready to help them celebrate those moments.

Technique

Work the circle! Channel the rings and the medals of the Olympic Games and play with circles on your creations this month.
