Extra credit assignment:

find a cartoon or comic strip that shows how you feel about starting school again in a couple of weeks.  Print it out and write a paragraph sharing your feelings on the strip.

over the weekend:

1.  Complete your presentation if you are on for Monday.

2.  All Journals are due on Monday.  Last chance to turn ANYTHING in.

3.  Start studying for the final!

Extra credit assignment:

find a you tube video that you think RELATES to class and is EDUCATIONAL for your fellow students.  If I agree after you show it, you will earn 10 points.

for Wednesday.

1.  Almost done now!

2.  finish up your free choice journals.  you have until Monday to complete them.

3.  6 of you have presentations for Wed/other 6 have them for Monday.

over the weekend:

1.  Read/study chap 11 and prepare for quiz.

2.  your journal!  Free choice from here on out!

3.  Final draft of the research paper.

find a power point template that you feel fits your personality.  Save it to a flash drive and bring it to class.

for Wednesday.

1.  no chapter! no quiz!

2.  your journal!  free choice.

3.  complete all the body paragraphs of your paper and bring them typed to class.

4.  group projects are due!

1.  Read/study chap 10 and prepare for quiz.

2.  your journal!  Free choice from here on out!

3.  Type up one of the paragraphs for your research paper.  Bring that to class.

4.  Complete your self summary.

create a quiz for chapter 9 with an answer key.

for Wednesday.

1.  Read/study chap 9 and prepare for quiz.

2.  your journal!  Your worst day ever!

3.  complete your topic sentence outline.

Summary paper due on Monday, group project due a week from Wed.

over the weekend:

1.  Read/study chap 8 and prepare for quiz.

2.  your journal!  Your biggest time waster.

3.  select the note cards for each topic on your outline--2 or 3 for each.

4.  begin your group/individual projects.

 

For Wednesday:

1.  Read/study chap 7 and prepare for quiz.

2.  Journal 7---tell me how you would spend a million $ in a day.

3.  50 notecards to support your 5 outline topics.

4.  Make sure you have your SBI results and read them.

and over your weekend:

1.  Read/study chap 6 and prepare for quiz.

2.  Journal 6---tell me about your best friend

3.  25 note cards from your research for Monday, total of 50 for Wed.

4.  Finish your individual projects!

 

Before Wednesday, July 9:

1.  Read/study chap 5 and prepare for quiz.

2.  Bring your research--at least 5 sources--and your blank note cards to class.

3.  Journal 5--Your pet peeve.

4.  Work on your individual projects!

1.  Read/study chap 3 and prepare for quiz.

2.  Select three possible argument research topics and write a paragraph defending each one.

3.  Journal 1--It's My Thing?  Describe what you are passionate about.

4.  Choose a day planner/calendar of some type and bring it to class.

 

  Before Wednesday, June 25: 

1.  Read/study chap 2 and prepare for quiz.

2.  Find the courses needed for your program of study and bring that with you to class.

3.  Journal 1--Why College?
