Happy February!  Have your thoughts turned to ones of love and valentines?

I love the varieties of loves in all of my friends.  Recently we had a conversation about all of the things we each love and enjoyed much laughter at our differences.  How can women who love each other so much, have such different emotions on the same topics?

One dear friend enthusiastically shared that she loves to clean.  Of course, we all knew this about her and rolled our eyes.  Another friend has a love of running which confuses me completely as I categorize the treadmill as a necessary evil.  On the other hand, those same friends find my love of make up and super high heels to be foreign concepts.

Fortunately, we do share a few loves.  Scrapbooking and photography top the lists along with a variety of foods.  We love the same books, movies, and Johnny Depp, whom we all agree crosses all generations.  We share enough guilty pleasure to take just a bit of the guilt out leaving plenty of pleasure and shared, "can you believe that!" discussions behind.

This year, I learned that loves can change and grow.  I have long been a cat lover.  I have learned to smile and nod at the appropriate places in conversations with my friends about their little dog adventures, but never quite understood.  After all, my cats were far to regal to behave in such canine ways.  As the mom of two dog loving kids, I knew one was in my future and I steeled myself for the day.

But now I must confess:  I love our dog.  I am still not certain why as we had the unfortunate luck to adopt a Husky puppy born incontinent.  Yes, I have given up rugs and steam mop my floors at least twice a day (no I am not the friend that loves to clean).  I do a load of doggie laundry three times a week and give her medication twice a day.  I am the one who takes her every Friday for a self doggie wash--which she in now way does by her self.

In spite of all of the time and trouble, I adore her.  Recently a friend called to ask me to send her something from my laptop and I had to ask her to wait a bit since the dog was listening to music.  Go ahead and laugh.  But she enjoys a bit of Taylor Swift while I am working.  And I enjoy a calm and napping puppy.

Have you scrapped what you are loving right now--both new and old?  It is a great way to get that February mojo up and running.

Wishing you a love change this month,

Digital Supplies: Kit: Secrets by Marshmella (GingerScraps), Fonts: Initially Mine, Software: Adobe.

Design Notes: I created the purple heart out of a flower in the kit.  I layered the flower over a heart and grouped them.  I made sure to keep the cute button which was already at the base of the flower.

Journaling: I am not a dog person! But no one explained that to the new puppy.
